Conor Brady's latest book, A June of Ordinary Murders, is "quite outstanding" and "will be regarded in years to come as a very important novel", former PD leader Des O'Malley said last night.
Launching the book by the former Irish Times editor and Garda ombudsman commissioner in Dublin, Mr O'Malley said "it is so visual it is absolutely crying out to be made into a film". But he appealed to Mr Brady to turn his attention to white-collar crime. "Murder is so commonplace it is not even an impediment to political advancement nowadays."
Mr Brady thanked his family and publishers, New Island, for their support. He thanked Mr O’Malley for his words and the late Caroline Walsh for her encouragement.
