A court has given a Cookstown, Co Tyrone, school boy a month to have his hair cut.
When the boy appeared at the town's juvenile court yesterday for not attending school, his lawyer, Mrs Anne Kelly, said he had been told by the headmaster he was suspended until he got a haircut.
Mrs Kelly told the court the 16 year old was now prepared to have his hair cut. The case was adjourned for a month to enable him to visit the barber return to school.
The prosecution was brought by the Southern Education and Library Board.
