Gardaí  have released  a 16-year-old boy who was arrested yesterday  in connection with the murders of two Polish men in Dublin last month.

Pawel Kalite (26) and Marius Szwajkos (27) were stabbed near their home in Benbulbin Road, Drimnagh on February 23 rd after a row involving a gang of youths. Both died in hospital within days of the attack.

The youth, who was arrested yesterday afternoon, was being held at Sundrive Road Garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

A Garda spokesman said the boy was freed without charge this afternoon and a file is to be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The latest arrest follows the arrest of three male teenagers - aged 19, 16 and 15 years - and a 14-year-old girl in the days after the February 23rd attack.

All those arrested to date were released without charge with files on the case being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

More than 2,000 people, including hundreds of locals and members of the Polish community, attended a prayer service in memory of the dead men in Drimnagh last week.
