London - British police evacuated a central London theatre and the surrounding area last night after a bomb threat, officials said.
A police spokeswoman said the whole area of the Strand Theatre, near Waterloo Bridge, had been evacuated. The incident came a week after a bomb blast at Hammersmith Bridge in the capital.
