LAGOS - A bomb packed with nails blasted a military bus in a Lagos street yesterday, wounding eight people, five of them Nigerian soldiers, the state police chief said. It was the fourth attack since December on the military, which has ruled Nigeria for 26 of its 36 years of independence from Britain.
Similar bombings have been blamed by the police on the umbrella opposition group, the National Democratic Coalition (NADECO) and its foreign based affiliates. But it denies any involvement.
