Five people were injured when a homemade bomb went off during a resumption of sectarian clashes in north Belfast.
One woman was hospitalised when the bomb was thrown at a car, shattering its windows, and sending glass into the woman's eyes, face, and arms, police said.
Police were called in after hundreds of young Protestants and Catholics clashed in the northern Limestone Road area, throwing rocks, bottles, and fireworks.
The "situation was calming down" in the tense area, police said, which has been the scene of the most intense sectarian violence between loyalist and nationalist communities in recent months.
On Friday, five policemen were injured in the same area, where clashes have occured almost daily in the past week. On Thursday, a policeman was also injured during clashes there.
After a period of relative calm, tensions have spilled over into renewed clashes over the last few nights, and police warned of more violence tonight.
