A bomb alert that caused the evacuation of more than 700 students at a school on the outskirts of west Belfast has been declared a hoax.
Army explosives experts were called in earlier today to examine a suspicious object discovered at St Colm's High on Summerhill Drive in Twinbrook. The alert began when a staff member spotted a length of piping and wires at the front gate.
However, the PSNI later declared the object a hoax.
Sinn Fein West Belfast MLA Michael Ferguson said he was concerned for the safety of staff, students and parents. "I'm frustrated at the disruption caused and the impact on school life," he added.
