Shares in Bank of Ireland have fallen for a third consecutive day in morning trading. The cool reception to the bank's pursuit of Abbey National has pushed the ISEQ lower for the fifth consecutive day of trading.
The ISEQ was down 55.73 points to 3,678.15 at 12.33 p.m.
Bank of Ireland stock has fallen 27 cent to €8.73. Other financials have also performed poorly this morning with AIB slipping 18 cents to €12.12, Irish Life off 20 cent to €10.80 and the Anglo Irish Bank fell down 22 cent to €5.95.
CRH have lost 6 cent and stands at €11.43 while Galen dropped 5 cent to 600.
