Bohs expected to name Mahon as boss

Bohemians have scheduled a press conference for 1.00 p.m

Bohemians have scheduled a press conference for 1.00 p.m. tomorrow at which they are expected to unveil Pete Mahon as the club's new manager in succession to Roddy Collins.

The former St Francis manager, who had been strongly linked with the Kilkenny City job in recent weeks, was Collins's number two at the Gypsies.

Club president Feilim O'Reilly had earlier said that they intended to sit down with Mahon at the earliest possible opportunity to discuss the situation.

The relationship between Bohemians and Roddy Collins ended after the club claimed Collins failed to attend a meeting on May 19th to negotiate a new contract and that comments attributd to him in the media created an impression that it would no longer be preferable for him to be in charge.
