The body of a man in his seventies has been recovered from the sea off the south east of Howth Head in County Dublin.
The man's body was recovered from the water at Jameson's Cove off Ceanchor Road earlier today.
The Howth coastguard unit and the Dublin Coastguard helicopter assisted gardaí in recovering the body at around 2.30pm.
A spokesperson for the garda press office said that preliminary investigations indicated that there was no foul play in relation to the death. A post mortem examination is anticipated in coming days.
