London - Investigators were last night trying to identify the bodies of three people found in the wreckage of a British plane discovered in the Andes nearly 53 years after it was lost in a storm.
The discovery on top of the 6,800 ft Tupungato peak in Argentina near the border with Chile has been hailed as a piece of aviation heritage. Records revealed the aircraft was a British South American Airways flight which crashed on August 2nd, 1947, killing all 11 people on board.
