New York - While searching for an old record in a corner of her apartment last week, Manhattan resident Ms Linda Fennimore discovered that she had been living with a 1.4 metre-long boa constrictor.
The jazz violinist told the New York Times that about a week ago she discovered the skin of the snake in the Upper East Side apartment that she has lived in for 18 months.
The police, the caretaker of the building, as well as the New York Reptile Society, who confirmed that the snake was a boa, have tried in vain to chase the creature from the apartment.
