German car manufacturer BMW is recalling several thousand of its new luxury 7 series cars to check for potential fuel-pump and valve problems.
About 15,000 cars could be affected by the pump problem which "may lead to the motor not getting enough fuel and the vehicle stalling," spokesman Alfred Broede said in Munich.
A valve defect may affect the performance of 8,000 cars, he added.
BMW says it so far has delivered 35,000 of its flagship cars which cost almost £60,000. Some cars may suffer from both defects and it wasn't immediately clear how many vehicles in total would be affected by the recall. AP
