Autism Assistance Dogs Ireland (AADI), a Cork-based charity, has launched a fundraising drive ahead of World Autism Awareness Day on April 2nd.

Director of fundraising at AADI Breeda Clancy called on schools, businesses, clubs and organisations across the country to wear blue, the colour of autism, on April 2nd and to make a €1 donation to the charity.

“We badly need funds to provide dogs for children with autism. The benefits of having one of these dogs to children with autism are huge,” said Ms Clancy.
