British Prime Minister Mr Tony Blair has threatened the Taliban with military conflict unless they hand over Osama bin Laden.
Mr Blair told reporters outside his Downing Street office today the coalition against international terrorism was strengthening rather than weakening.
"Military conflict there will be, unless the Taliban change and respond to the ultimatum given to them," he said.
Since the September 11th attacks on New York and Washington, Mr Blair has offered strong backing to President George W Bush, helping him build an international coalition in support of the US war against terrorism.
He announced Britains' parliament would be recalled for one day on Thursday of next week to enable him to update MPs on the current international crisis.
Meanwhile, the US-led global anti-terror campaign will be known as "Operation Enduring Freedom," the US Defense Secretary Mr Donald Rumsfeld announced today.
The operation was initially known as "Infinite Justice," but that name was dropped after officials realized it could offend Muslims who believe only Allah can provide such boundless justice.
