Former Manchester United and Northern Ireland soccer star Mr George Best is to sell his Co Down house just eight months after returning home. Mr Best (54) moved into the 2,850 square foot bungalow with his wife, Alex, last November.
The couple were believed to have decided on the rural location, near the fishing village of Portavogie, to help Mr Best recuperate after being treated for liver disease at a private London hospital.
"The couple haven't told me of their exact plans for the future, but I think George is returning to work on Sky Television next season and travelling from London to here every weekend would not have been practical," said local estate agent Mr Jim McDowell who is selling the property with a price tag of £395,000 sterling.
