Dennis Bergkamp has revealed that he is increasingly likely to postpone his retirement and stay at Arsenal for another season.
Bergkamp (33) had indicated he could retire or move back to his native Holland when his Highbury contract expires in June next year.
However, he revealed ahead of Arsenal's Champions League tie against Valencia tonight that he may seek a new deal from the club.
"I said at the start of the season that I would make my decision about my future at the end of it," Bergkamp told France Footballmagazine.
"But at this moment I feel that I can continue, I feel good. I love football and it will be difficult to say goodbye to it - and I don't feel ready to say goodbye at this moment".
Bergkamp, who described Thierry Henry as "the most complete player I have ever played with", said he would finish his career at Arsenal.
Patrick Vieira was last night rated by Arsene Wenger as having only a 40-60 chance of facing Valencia at Highbury after pulling out of training yesterday with a thigh injury.
However, the Evening Standardreported the Arsenal captain's injury had eased overnight and he was now back in contention to start the game.
