Another person has died on one of the State's worst roads for traffic fatalities

Another person has died on one of the State's worst roads for traffic fatalities. A 32-year-old male pedestrian was fatally injured when he was struck by a car on the N25 at Ballygoman, Barntown, Co Wexford, at about 9.45pm last Friday.

He has been named as Andrew Nickson, of Trinity Street, Wexford.

The woman driver of the car involved in the incident was treated for shock.

The scene of the collision is not far from Larkin's Cross where Jacinta Sinnott (24) was killed alongside her daughter Tanya, aged 19 months, and son Trevor, aged four, earlier this month.

The single-carriageway road, which links Wexford and New Ross, has been regularly featured in the National Roads Authority's Road Accident Facts for the number of lives lost.
