Bangladeshi police have detained two 14-year-olds who allegedly hired a hitman to shoot their teacher at his home, police said today.
Police said the grade-seven students confessed they had plotted the murder of teacher Swapan Goshwami, who they contended was rude to them in class and an unfairly tough in grading work.
The instructor (38) was shot dead on October 26th as he left his home for work at the state-run Laboratory School in the capital Dhaka's Dhanmondi area, police said.
The official said police were looking for three professional killers involved in the murder.
Police said one of the boys confessed to stealing 100,000 taka ($1,725 dollars) and a licensed revolver from his father. Police are also interrogating the boy's father, a government employee.
