A teenage girl was ordered to co-operate in a post office robbery by showing a photograph of herself with a gun being held to her head, the High Court in Belfast has been told.

A Crown lawyer said the attempted robbery took place at Andersonstown Post Office last month. He was objecting to a bail application by Mr Gerard Patrick Mallon (29), from Whiterock Parade, Belfast, who is charged with attempted robbery, false imprisonment and a threat to kill.

Lord Justice Nicholson refused bail.
