A Romanian asylum-seeker charged with sexually assaulting a 14-year-old Dublin girl has been granted independent bail of £10,000.
The 30-year-old man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared in Dublin District Court charged with seven offences of sexual assault allegedly carried out in the south city between August and December last year.
Judge Thomas Fitzpatrick was told the DPP had directed the case be heard in the circuit court and he remanded the defendant in custody with consent to bail to appear for service of a book of evidence on July 6th.
