An aircraft leasing firm is to establish its global base in Dublin with the creation of 40 jobs.
Milestone Aviation, which finances the leasing of new and pre-owned private jets and helicopters, said today it had secured $500 million in capital commitments to launch its business here.
The company said it would provide helicopter and private jet owners with “financing options not otherwise available” in the aviation leasing industry.
Milestone Aviation, which has bases in Colts Neck, New Jersey and Columbus, Ohio, operates by purchasing aircraft on behalf of clients, and then entering into a lease agreement with the customer.
Chief executive William Kelly said: "We understand safety, flight operations and maintenance. We believe it is important to look beyond a company's capital structure into the hangar and cockpit to evaluate the true quality of an operator."
