Lassing - The village of Lassing held an emotional service last evening for 11 men killed in Austria's worst post-war mining disaster. Around 300 people packed into the small Catholic church in the idyllic Alpine village, within sight of the huge crater left when a shaft at the magnesium silicate mine caved in on Friday night, sending tonnes of mud and water crashing down on 10 men who had gone down to rescue a colleague.
