A police press conference later today will announce details of the operation, which was carried out by the Australian High Tech Crime Centre and followed an investigation begun in March.
The Australian newspaper reported today that police seized hundreds of computers containing images of child abuse and charged dozens of people, following a tip-off from US authorities earlier this year.
