Gardai are investigating separate incidents of attempted abductions on young girls in Co Tipperary in the past month. Last Friday week in Fethard two young girls were approached by a man, described as being in his mid-30s to 40s with a shaven head, who tried to entice them into his car.
A similar incident was reported to gardai in Cahir over three weeks ago, on April 27th, when a man attempted to abduct a 13-year-old at approximately 6 p.m. The man was described as being between 60 and 70 with dirty grey white hair, a tanned complexion and bad teeth. Cahir-based Insp Brenard O'Neilli had received a complaint and that said an investigation was continuing.
