BAGHDAD – At least five people were killed and more than a dozen injured when four bombs exploded yesterday in the city of Ramadi in western Iraq, military and interior ministry sources said.
A source at Anbar Province military command said two roadside bombs exploded in the main market at Ramadi, 100km (60 miles) west of Baghdad, near the provincial governor’s compound. This was followed shortly afterwards by a car bomb which exploded.
A fourth bomb, also a car bomb, went off when military and civilian rescuers rushed to help the victims of the first blasts. – (Reuters)
