It is hoped a full resolution will be announced at the High Court today of legal proceedings arising from a dispute between the Association of Secondary Teachers, Ireland and a member. The member is alleged to have disrupted meetings of its standing committee.

Mr Bernard Lynch, a member of the ASTI's executive and standing committee, had applied for an order to restrain the union from excluding him from meetings. Yesterday, Mr Paul Gardiner SC, for the ASTI, told Mr Justice Lavan the matter had been all but resolved. The judge agreed it could be mentioned again today.
