MOGADlSHU - Artillery and explosions rocked the Somali capital for the sixth day despite an appeal by Muslim authorities for an end to "blind shelling" by all factions.
Eight people were killed and 15 wounded in fighting in south Mogadishu between forces loyal to Mr Hussein Aidid and those of his rivals Mr Osman Hassan Ali, known as Atto, and Mr Muse Sudi Yalahow.
