THE big art opening of the week was at the Hugh Lane Gallery in Parnell Square, where work by international art heavyweights Edward and Nancy Reddin Kienholz went on show. On the advice of the doorman in the Gresham Hotel, Nancy made use of her week in Ireland to take a trip to Connemara, "and he was right - we had a great time, though it rained every time we stepped out of the car," said the California based artist.
Her friends, serious art collectors Monte and Betty Factor (of the Max Factor cosmetics dynasty) flew in for the opening, as did Peter Goulds, the Kienholz's most charming American dealer.
