Arsene Wenger is weighing up whether to give Freddie Ljungberg his first start for more than two months when Arsenal face Charlton at Highbury on Sunday.

Ljungberg came through his third reserves outing on his comeback from an Achilles problem in midweek and could feature, especially as Patrick Vieira and Lauren are both suspended.

Ashley Cole is also banned from Sunday's game, although he has just undergone a hernia operation in any case and is set to be replaced at left-back by Giovanni van Bronckhorst.

Wenger will give tests to Kanu (thigh) and Oleg Luzhny (calf); he may decide to rest Dennis Bergkamp after his road trip to Amsterdam in midweek.
