Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is trying to lure Japanese World Cup star Hidetoshi Nakata from Italian side Parma according to a report today.
Arsenal's French forward Sylvain Wiltord is unhappy playing on the right of the Gunners' attack and is ready to move on and Wenger wants to fill his place with Nakata - according to a front page splash in the Japanese-language daily Sports Nippon.
Nakata, who scored in Japan's 2-0 win over Tunisia last week, was in line to join Arsenal a year ago only to have Wenger go cold on the idea and Parma moved in.
But now Arsenal "desperately want Nakata's attacking power, even moving him from midfield to forward," according to the paper.
