A planning decision on Arnotts plan to move its existing Henry Street store as part of a €1 billion "Northern Quarter" redevelopment plan has been delayed again.
An Bord Pleanála said the decision, which had been due today, had been put back for the second time in a month because of the volume of work.
A decision is now expected before the end of the week.
Eight appeals have been lodged to An Bord Pleanála by various parties, including An Post, An Taisce and the Railway Procurement Agency.
Dublin City Council granted permission for the scheme last July.
A planning decision was originally due in early February.
The three-year regeneration proposal comprises 47 new shops, 17 cafes, restaurants and bars, around 180 apartments, a four-star hotel and spa and a new central square.
The Northern Quarter, an area in the north side bounded by Henry Street, O'Connell Street, Abbey Street and Liffey Street, will be regenerated into a new shopping and entertainment zone.
Buildings involved in the transformation of the eight acre block include Arnotts and the former Independent Newspapers site on Abbey Street.
