Police in Derry are appealing for information following the armed robbery of a shop in the Racecourse Road area of the city last night.
Shortly after 7:15pm a man armed with a hand gun entered the store and threatened staff before making off with an undisclosed sum of money.
The man is believed to have made his escape on foot.
He is described as being 1.83m (6 ft) in height and of slim build. He was wearing a navy-hooded top with the hood up, navy tracksuit trousers, trainers and gloves. He concealed his face behind a green and white scarf.

A police spokeswoman said one of the members of staff, although not physically harmed, was left very shaken after the incident.
