Preliminary results from a post-mortem on the body of a man found on isolated farmland near Omeath, Co Louth, on Thursday indicate he died after being electrocuted. Gardai named the man as Mr Peter Francis McCarthy (47), Bally crummy Road, Armagh. After his body was found by the farm owner gardai began an investigation into the circumstances of his death.
Mr McCarthy was married with four children. His body was removed to the Louth County Hospital in Dundalk where the post-mortem was held yesterday.
