An Irish woman died in a coach crash in the United States yesterday morning.
Nancy Earls, of Abbey Terrace, Arklow, Co Wicklow, was killed when the coach in which she was a passenger collided with a truck as it was returning to a hotel in Tennessee.
Four other passengers were killed and 14 were injured. The tourists had earlier visited Graceland in Nashville and were returning to their accommodation.
Ms Earls, believed to be in her 60s, was accompanied by her brother Denis McGuinness, and sister-in-law Joan, also from Arklow. The couple were injured and taken to hospital, but they have since been discharged.
A spokesman for the Department of Foreign Affairs said it is offering assistance to the injured and the family of the bereaved.
