Argentina's Angel Cabrera, biggest hitter on the European tour last season, had the biggest win of his life today when he captured the Benson and Hedges International Open at The Belfry.

Cabrera had a closing 69 and took the title by one shot from Barry Lane, with Colin Montgomerie, Padraig Harrington and Michael Campbell joint third after each of them bogeyed the last.

It gave the 32-year-old, second to Henrik Stenson in the event last year, the Stg£183,330 first prize with a 10 under par total of 278.
