Palestinian leader Mr Yasser Arafat has expressed fears for his security and warned of an Israeli army invasion of the West Bank town of Ramallah.
A senior Arab official said the head of the Palestinian delegation to the Arab summit in Beirut "received a telephone call from Mr Arafat while meeting Lebanese Prime Minister Mr Rafiq Hariri.
"Arafat told him that he feared for his personal security and that the Israeli army is preparing to re-occupy completely Ramallah," Mr Arafat's headquarters in the West Bank, he said.
