The family of a 35-year-old man who was found stabbed to death on a wasteland in Dublin last year have launched an appeal for information into his murder.

The appeal, in partnership with crimestoppers and the gardaí, offers a reward of €20,000 for information that leads to a conviction.

David Whyte was found dead last September in a disused cemetery behind Stewart's Hospital at Mill Lane, Palmerstown. A postmortem on his remains later revealed he had been stabbed more than 20 times on the upper body and neck.

Mr Whyte was last seen alive at the Arthur Conan Doyle's pub in Phibsborough around midnight on September 24th 2008.
