Gardaí in Dublin have appealed for witnesses to an incident earlier this week in which a man (27) drowned in the River Liffey.
The man went into the water near Aston Quay on December 29th at about 2am.
Gardaí in Pearse Street are seeking witnesses, particularly those who may have been standing at the taxi rank on Aston Quay.
Some people tried to help the man, but their efforts were unsuccessful, and he was later taken from the river by the Dublin Fire Brigade.
