Three people who may have important information about the murder last November of a Galway taxi-driver, Ms Eileen Costello-O'Shaughnessy (47), are being sought by gardai. The murder will be featured again on next Monday night's Crimeline programme on RTE. Viewers will be shown a reconstruction of events leading to the violent killing of the mother of two, whose body was found in a laneway at Knockdoemore on the Galway-Tuam road on December 1st, 1997.

Gardai are particularly anxious to interview two women and the driver of a car which was seen near the spot where the body of Ms Costello-O'Shaughnessy was discovered.

One woman gardai want to trace was seen talking to Ms Costello-O'Shaughnessy outside the Dew Drop Inn pub on Mainguard Street in Galway at about 7 p.m. on the night of the murder.

Since the murder thousands of house-to-house inquiries have been conducted, and more than 1,000 statements have been taken by investigating gardai.
