A leaflet aimed at increasing people's awareness of racism will be posted to every household in Ireland beginning next week, it was announced today.

The leaflet, "What You Can Do Against Racism", is being distributed by Know Racism - The National Anti-Racism Awareness Programme, starting on March 12th.

Speaking at the launch the Minister for Justice, Mr O'Donoghue, said the distribution of the leaflet "will endeavour to increase our knowledge and understanding of racism".

The leaflet will urge people to treat people from minority groups with respect, challenge racist remarkds, report incidents to the Garda and teach children to respect different cultures.
