The Belfast Agreement involves "a straightforward accommodation to the evil of terrorism", according to the deputy leader of the Northern Ireland Unionist Party, Mr Paddy Roche.
Mr Roche's opposition to the agreement is set out in his book, The Appeasement of Terrorism and the Belfast Agreement, which was launched at Stormont yesterday.
Mr Roche states that while the 1998 referendum on the Agreement showed this "appeasement" was accepted by the nationalist electorate, the unionist community was split on the matter.
