Animal rights activist Barry Horne ended his hunger strike yesterday after refusing food for 68 days.
Horne, who was seriously ill, had been studying documents relating to the Government's position on animal experiments. A spokesman for the Animals Betrayed Coalition said: "Barry has finished going through the papers today and at 4.30 p.m. he rescinded his living will."
He had made a living will which ordered that he would not be kept alive artificially if he slipped into a coma.
Horne, a 46-year-old former dustman, is serving 18 years in prison for a firebombing campaign. He started his hunger strike on October 6.
