The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr Andrews, will visit Honduras at the end of a 10-day trip to the Caribbean, beginning next Tuesday. He will meet Irish aid workers and review how the £400,000 given by the Republic towards relief following Hurricane Mitch is being spent.
His trip to the Caricom countries, formerly the British West Indies, begins in Guyana. Mr Andrews will visit Trinidad, Tobago, St Vincent, the Grenadines, Antigua, Barbuda, Dominica, and St Lucia, as part of a campaign to garner support for Ireland's election to the UN Security Council next October.
