FORGET all that Britpop malarkey the real revolution in the UK is being led by technocentric pioneers like Leftfield (above), who, along with Underworld and Orbital, are radically retooling the live scene with shows that are meatier, beatier, bigger and bouncier than many rock gigs you'd care to mention.
On record, Leftfield are cool and clued up, but onstage, Paul Daley and Neil Barnes are also loud and proud, and they'll be using drums, congas, samples and vocals to knock The Point right off its centre of gravity. Tonight's heavyweight bill includes souped up beat freaks the Chemical Brothers, Brit House bunch Fluke, top Belfast DJ David Holmes, and Dublin technoids dEcal.
