Santiago - Three of former President Salvador Allende's bodyguards have filed a lawsuit against Gen Augusto Pinochet for the deaths of 34 comrades in the 1973 coup that brought the former dictator to power.
The case brings to 74 the number of suits piling up against Gen Pinochet, who returned home from Britain on March 3rd after winning a battle against extradition to Spain to be tried on torture charges.
Gen Pinochet (84), who ran Chile with an iron fist for 17 years after his coup, is resting in a secluded country hideout after Britain ruled he was ill to stand trial in Spain.
