Norfolk - A massive air and sea search was called off last night after coastguards failed to locate a yacht with three Cambridge University students aboard.

The search for the yacht Tuila, missing since Friday, was set to resume at first light today, coastguards said.

The yacht set off from the Dutch port of IJmuiden last Tuesday, but no contact has been made with the vessel since Friday.

The three students, Chris McMenemy, whose family live in Canada, and Carol Smith, both in their 20s and James Chew, 22, are all on board.
