Militants holding three UN workers hostage in Afghanistan have extended a deadline for their demands to be met because of the time taken for negotiators to arrive for talks, a spokesman for the kidnappers says.
"The talks will be held tomorrow because the UN and Afghan government delegations have arrived quite late," Sayed Khalid Agha, spokesman for the Jaish-e Muslimeen (Army of Muslims) group, said today.
"The talks are expected to start tomorrow at noon, or at 1 p.m. Because of this, we had to extend the deadline."
