A dispute over the price of affordable housing in a Dublin development has been resolved.
Zelda Properties told Dublin City Council last week the price of apartments at Thorncastle Street in Ringsend, made available to the council for social and affordable housing, had risen by €100,000 each.
Mr Frank Lambe of the Dublin City Council said the issue had been amicably resolved after the Galway based developers had contacted him yesterday to say "they would be abiding by the terms of the original agreement".
The price originally agreed for the two and three bedroom apartments was in the region of €180,000 each.
Mr Lambe said the ten Dublin families due to move in to the apartments had expressed their "delight" that the issue had been resolved and would be moving in over in the next few weeks.
Planning permission was originally granted to Zelda for the construction of up to 100 apartments and an office block on the site, on the grounds that they would make a percentage of the dwellings available as affordable housing.
