Forty-six passengers were killed today when a plane crashed in central Iran. State-run Iran television said the plane crashed near the village of Aliabad, close to the central Iranian city of Isfahan.
The report said the plane was carrying aerospace experts from the Ukraine and Russia.
Pan-Arab satellite station Al-Jazeera said 46 people, mostly from the Ukraine, died in the accident.
The plane had left an airport in Turkey, according to the Qatari-based station.

It is not immediately clear how the accident happened.
Iranian foreign ministry spokesman Hamid Reza Asefi sent messages of condolence to Ukrainian and Russian officials.
